This is a rather simple tip, but I have had many people ask for it, so here you go:
Type your text on a clean background. Save the selection, but don't deselect it. | |
Select your outline color as your foreground color (black in this case). For a rounded edge, go to EDIT...STROKE and type 6 pixels from the CENTER and hit OK. | |
Now, with the text still selected, fill with any color or texture. | |
For a straighter edge on your text, do this after saving your selection (step one): Click on SELECTION...MODIFY...CONTRACT: 1 pixel. Now fill with any color or texture. Then load your selection again (CTRL+ALT+4) and go to EDIT...STROKE: 3 pixels from the INSIDE. This gives you the same effect, but with sharper edges. |
